Mahatma Gandhi, Puns & Language!

I just received an email from a friend, who is often the sender of good belly laugh material! This latest email was about an international pun competition! I’m not really sure there ever was an international pun competition, but it doesn’t really matter! This was my favorite.

I hope no-one takes any offence at this…

Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which
produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very
little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from
bad breath. This made him (Oh, man, this is so bad, it’s good) a super
calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.

Seriously! Can you take me seriously after that?

Now for the brain bit! The ability to make and understand puns is considered to be the highest level of language development.

If you got this pun, you have just proved you have a high level of language development – well done!

There were ten puns in the email, I have only included one. If you want to see some more let me know!

P.S:: Don’t worry if you didn’t get the pun, there are ways to sharpen you language skills at any age. Check out the 8 Habits To Increase Natural Brain Power At Any Age for more information.
