Is Your Sleep Interrupted By A Sleep Talking Man?

I feel for Karen the wife of Adam the sleep talkin’ man!
You’ve probably heard about them. Adam talks in his sleep and Karen writes down what he says. She is now blogging it for everyone to read.
Some of it is rather hilarious! It brings back memories of my sister who could apparently “Play a tune on my tractor!” a classic sleep talk when she was young.
Right now Karen and Adam are riding high on the wave of their new internet t-shirt business based on the quotes from his sleep talking. They are doing the rounds of interviews and publicity, which would be exhausting!
I noticed today, that Karen wrote on their blog that Adam didn’t talk in his sleep last night. She mentioned she was actually grateful he didn’t talk in his sleep – probably because she was so tired that she wanted uninterrupted sleep!
Karen describes her husband’s nightly sleep talking as cathartic. A way for him to banish his demons perhaps? Mind you when you read what he says, you wonder about the kinds of demons he has!
They have no plans to go see a specialist about it because she feels it is not affecting Adam’s health.
The real questions is: What affect is her husband’s sleep talking having on HER quality of sleep?
Lack of sleep can make you irritable initially, but studies have shown that it also impairs your brain function and can have long term health damaging effects.
Something like 20% of car accidents can be attributed to lack of sleep.
